Chat with Ali Chehade

 Ali Chehade earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from Lebanese American University in ‘07. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Professional Media and Media Management at Southern Illinois University Carbondale as a Fulbright scholar. His fields of interest are new media management, social media, and television production.

 
Ali’s work experience is in television production and web management. His major professional experiences include working on the top-rated pan-Arab talk-show "Sireh Winfatahet" as a segment producer and website manager. He also produces and hosts a radio show that aims at presenting a more positive and realistic image of the Middle East to the American audience. Ali is currently developing a new social networking site, The Dream Matcher, that will be based out of Lebanon and will serve the whole world.
 
In 2007 Ali was awarded the Fusion Arts Exchange Program scholarship from the U.S. Department of State to attend a 6-week film production and screenwriting workshop at the University of Southern California. In 2009 he was awarded the Fulbirght Scholarship.
 
Ali has visited over 20 U.S. cities in the past two years. As a Fulbright scholar, he has also made hundreds of contacts from more than 100 countries in the world. He believes that in addition to getting world-class education, the essence of the Fulbright Scholarship is to learn more about different cultures, and to introduce others to his own culture.
