Alumnus filmmaker Mahmoud Kabbour tours the world
Check out the trailer of Teta, Alf Marra (Grandma, a Thousand Times) directed by LAU alumnus and filmmaker Mahmoud Kabbour. The film is a poetic documentary that puts a feisty Beiruti grandmother at the center of brave film exercises concocted by her grandson in order to commemorate her many experiences before they are erased by the passage of time and her eventual death.
Over the last couple of years the film has been presented throughout the world, including at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, The London International Documentary Film Festival, and the Dox Box Film Festival in Syria.
Last month Mahmoud showed his film to LAU alumni during homecoming.
