Abdallah Al Khal, the director of LAU’s alumni relations office, and his staff are integral to the success of the university’s homecoming events. Al Khal also explained that the opportunity for alumni to connect remains a powerful draw; over a thousand alumni attended the 2010 events, and about as many are expected to attend this year’s festivities.
“The Homecoming events are networking platforms primarily for alumni and classmates to reconnect, exchange business cards, and benefit from each other’s experiences, Al Khal said. "Then we have fun…it’s a platform and an opportunity that only the university can provide.”
