LAU to highlight alumni authors at unique event
In an effort to highlight the work of LAU’s growing alumni community, LAU will hold its first-ever alumni book exhibition in
The idea first took root as the result of collaboration between the Alumni Relations Office and representatives from major departments within the university, including academics, communications professionals and alumni association members. Together, members of the LAU community reached out to writers, and the university’s alumni responded excitedly to the prospect of reconnecting to the university while discussing their work and careers. The event will be hosted by Dr. Joseph Jabbra, LAU’s president, along with Abdallah Al Khal, the director of alumni relations, and visitors will get the chance to meet the authors and discuss their work in an expositional setting. In addition to keeping LAU connected to alumni, the event will also give the fledgling authors a chance to show their skill to members of the community and television stations in
LAU’s Alumni Book Exhibition will take place at the Safadi Fine Arts Building on the Beirut campus on May 24th at 5pm.
